Dr. Estie Bav is a practising dentist with over 35 years of clinical experience and thousands of credit hours of continuing education.

Her general family dental practice in the suburb of Kew in Melbourne focuses on comprehensive diagnoses, guidance on early child dento-facial growth, quality restoratives and occlusal rehabilitation, TMJ therapy, and dental treatment with oropharyngeal airway considerations.

Qualifications

Dr. Estie Bav graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia. Earlier in her career she served in the Royal Australian Air Force as a Squadron Leader, Senior Dental Officer.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Bav is passionate about keeping up to date with dental professional continuing education both within Australia and overseas.

Dr. Bav is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP) , the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO), the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry (AAPMD), and Australian Medical Laser Association (AMLA).

In 1991 Dr Bav established Princess Street Dental Group in Kew, Melbourne, where she has continued to enjoy practising as a General Dentist with a dedicated and caring support team.

Growing Beautiful Teeth

Dr Estie Bav is the published author of her new book Growing Beautiful Teeth (Nov 2018) which is based on her considerable clinical and educational experience of over thirty years. Her book emphasizes the need for parents to get involved with their child’s dental development early, for maximum health benefit beyond just beautiful teeth.
It explains the importance of collaborative and integrative approaches to guide dental growth, including paying attention how the child breathes, sleeps and postures.

Outside of dentistry Dr Bav loves ballroom and Latin dancing, knitting, and cooking with love for a small audience of family and friends. She may also be found sailing at sea with her husband in a sailing boat somewhere along the east coast of Australia.
